Read both sets of instructions
A project combines a mold and a filling material. Each can have restrictions that the other description does not mention. Record the required temperature range, permitted cleaning and release procedure before starting rather than inferring a method from a finished-product photograph.
Create a project record
- Exact mold and material references.
- Declared intended use and compatibility.
- Cavity dimensions and number.
- Conditions described by the manufacturers.
- How the mold will be labeled and kept separate after use.
Stop when compatibility is unresolved
Do not improvise chemical or heat settings to fill a documentation gap. Food-contact requirements depend on the use and applicable market; a European contextual source does not certify a US product. For a children’s activity, choose materials explicitly appropriate to the participants and the activity.
Sources and method
Decalavera’s editorial criteria and examples use AI assistance and documentary checking. References support their specific cultural or technical context; they do not certify products or represent physical tests. Sources from other jurisdictions are not presented as US product certification.
