Make the size visible
For an 8 × 6 × 6 inch figure, mark a base of 6 × 6 inches and use a box to visualize the height. This is our own planning exercise, not an advertised product. It helps estimate space but cannot reproduce weight or center of gravity.
Match the object to its function
- Figure: base, dimensions and stated material.
- Lamp: electrical input and model instructions.
- Planter: usable interior and drainage.
- Outdoor object: explicitly documented outdoor use.
Read the design as well as the listing
A sober skull sculpture, La Catrina and a print reproduction tell different stories. Look for an identified artist or source if that reference matters. A stone-like finish is not proof of stone, and a dark color does not establish weather resistance.
